Progress Report! With Parentheses!

Hi, so yeah, I've been busy XD Been practicing and playing (I can say that now with confidence, playing) my harp (who I think wants to be called Taliesin, even though I feel it's a bit too... I dunno, arrogant a name?) on an almost daily basis. Actually blew Telynor away last Sunday when I played "Woe Betyde Thy Wearie Bodye" through perfectly, and between that and adding expression to the teaching/learning tune "Fair Molly" we both feel like I'm just about ready to play those in public. Whee! Also been working on new techniques using an exercise )that might become a tune, if Telynor and I have the bandwidth/inspiration to write it), and using the new techniques in other tunes I've been working on. ^__^

ALSO also got an inspiration for a class I want to have ready for the next Collegium in November (hopefully that will be held in person, depending on *waves hands* everything)! The topic I want to teach is on medieval harps (the physical instruments) in the British Isles, focusing on Irish, Scottish and Welsh harps -- which were very different than what was being played in England. Doing tons of research and learning a lot, so I feel I can do the class justice. XD I'll have my own harp as an example, and hope to reach out to lever/"Celtic" harp players with ideas on how to make their playing more period. I'm super excited about it!

Apart from that, I've been thinking about making/acquiring more garb (I have an Orkney hood on order through Etsy) and I've been doing some small heraldry things too, mostly commenting on Kingdom Letters of Intent. Oh, I got my arms changed back to what you seen in the icon, with the other arms becoming a badge, yay! And I helped a friend a bit with a name change. So there's that. XD
